San Diego, CA — A teenage boy was struck by a trolley at the intersection of La Mesa Boulevard and Spring Street and was severely injured.  The incident occurred on Tuesday when the 17-year-old tried to cross the tracks in front of the eastbound tram around 11 a.m.  Heartland Fire & Rescue Emergency crews had to get the boy out from under the trolley.  He was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego and was listed in critical condition.  The accident is under investigation, but witnesses said the boy tried to beat the train when he crossed the tracks.  If you have been injured in an accident, seek the advice of a San Diego personal injury attorney today.
