Sacramento, CA –A bookkeeper from Citrus Heights was indicted for allegedly embezzling more than $1.7 million from her employer.  Kathe Rascher, 53, was charged with 12 counts of mail fraud and five counts of tax evasion.  She allegedly stole the money over a five-year period from 2004 to 2008.  Rascher was an employee of River Valley Insurance Associates Inc.  As the bookkeeper, she wrote checks from the company’s bank account to herself and her family members.  She covered her tracks by changing internal records and making fictitious invoices.  Rascher will …
