On Tuesday the movie industry launched a legal fight to block the sale of DVD copying software it maintains breaches copyright laws and encourages piracy.
The Motion Picture Association of America filed suit in a Los Angeles federal court while RealNetworks, the software maker filed its own suit in a district court in northern California.
