Westminster, CA – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing at the intersection of Brookhurst Street and Hazard Avenue shortly after midnight. Lang Nguyen, 62, suffered major injuries and firefighters tried to treat him, but he was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that hit Nguyen stayed at the scene. Investigators are trying to determine if Nguyen was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
